Back of House Positions: Baker/Prep Cook
Job Description:
Be a part of an exciting quick service concept in Salt Lake City! Prepare and bake pasty fillings, donuts, pasties and donut icing & glazes. Complete all assigned prep and bake work following company recipes and standards while maintaining product presentations, quality, and cook time standards. Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift. 
- Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times. 
- Set up work station for maximum productivity and efficiency consistent with company guidelines. 
- Prepare/bake all food items according to recipes and company standards and specifications. 
- Complete all assigned prep work within assigned timelines (if applicable). 
- Prioritize tasks to maximize use of time. 
- Date, label, and rotate all products as prescribed. 
- Support the process of tracking inventory and usage. 
- Assist in the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of all back-of-house storage areas. 
- Keep dishes maintained and washed. 
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects. 
- Complete other job duties as assigned and support other team members throughout shift. 
Qualifications:
- Must meet any federal, state, county or municipal regulations pertaining to the service of food and beverages, including obtaining a Utah Food Handler Permit. 
- Capable of using knives, fryer, oven and other food preparation equipment safely. 
- Ability to read, understand and follow recipes and instructions. 
- Must work well with limited supervision within specific position functions but must also be highly interactive with other team members to accomplish work. 
- Previous kitchen or baker experience is preferred but not required.
